About the Role

We're looking for a Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager to own go-to-market strategy for our security-focused developer products. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you'll operate at the intersection of product, sales, marketing, and the developer community—turning deeply technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that drive adoption and revenue.

What You'll Do

Positioning, Messaging & Strategy

  • Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for HeroDevs
  • products and services
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into customer-centric value propositions
  • Continuously refine messaging based on market feedback, competitive dynamics, and
  • performance data

Go-To-Market Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end GTM planning for product launches, feature releases; open source end-of-life events; VCE announcements, and theme-based campaigns
  • Define target segments, ideal customer profiles (ICPs), and channel strategies
  • Partner with demand generation to execute integrated, multi-channel campaigns
  • Ensure messaging resonates with technical audiences including developers, security engineers, DevSecOps practitioners, and open source communities

Customer and Market Insights

  • Build and refine customer personas and segmentation strategies
  • Leverage Voice of Customer (VoC), sales feedback, and product usage data to inform strategy
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis; develop battlecards and win/loss insights
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product and leadership teams

Sales Enablement

  • Create high-impact sales materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, FAQs, objection handling
  • guides)
  • Equip sales teams with clear narratives and competitive positioning
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to align on pipeline priorities and deal strategy

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Drive content strategy across the full buyer journey (top to bottom funnel)
  • Partner with content and brand teams to ensure consistency and quality
  • Contribute to technical thought leadership that strengthens HeroDevs’ market presence

Performance & Optimization

  • Define KPIs and success metrics for product marketing initiatives
  • Analyze campaign and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Use data to continuously optimize GTM effectiveness

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a central connector across product, sales, marketing, and leadership teams
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment and execution
  • Influence product roadmap decisions through customer and market insights

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 6+ years of product marketing, including 3+ years in a technical or developer-focused role
  • Proven success driving measurable business outcomes (pipeline, revenue, adoption—not just awareness)
  • Experience working within or alongside strong PLG (product-led growth) motions
  • Background in open source or developer ecosystems is a strong plus

Technical Depth

  • Comfortable engaging with engineers and technical buyers
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps workflows, and software supply chain security
  • Familiarity with open source ecosystems, licensing models, and developer adoption patters
  • Ability to translate complex technical features into clear, compelling narratives

Marketing Craft

  • Strong positioning and messaging skills with experience scaling across channels
  • Hands-on experience executing campaigns in developer and security channels (e.g., technical content, GitHub, community platforms, events, paid media)
  • Data-driven approach to planning, measurement, and iteration
  • Excellent written communication across formats ( technical content sales materials, and more)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in software supply chain security, SBOM, or open source security
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, CISA, etc.)
  • Exposure to end-of-life software management, dependency patching, or vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with usage-based or PLG GTM strategies in a developer-focused companies
  • Active participant in developer or open source communities

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

  • Launch a major product or feature with a full GTM motion (positioning, enablement, demand gen, and community activation)
  • Built or significantly evolved the messaging for a core product or audience
  • Drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact through integrated campaigns
  • Become a trusted partner to product and sales, influencing both GTM strategy and roadmap decisions
